Camera Lite is an Android camera app developed by Second Dream. This page explains what data the app accesses, why, and what happens to it. The short version: nothing leaves your device.
None. Camera Lite does not collect, store on any server, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Every photo and video you capture stays on your device, in the same gallery folders Android uses for any other camera app.
Camera. Required to show the live preview and capture photos and videos. Used only while the app is open and only on-device.
Microphone. Required to record audio when you capture a video. Not used outside video recording. Not used in photo mode.
Photos and videos (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO). Required to display the thumbnail of your most recent capture on the camera screen and to show the in-app gallery of items you captured with Camera Lite. The app does not read or upload any media outside of this purpose.
Location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION / ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION). Optional. Used only if you turn on "Save GPS location" in Settings. When enabled, GPS coordinates are written into the EXIF metadata of the photo you just captured and remain in the photo file on your device. Coordinates are never transmitted anywhere by the app.
Camera Lite contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting SDKs, and no third-party tracking. There are no in-app purchases.
Camera Lite is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
If material changes are ever made, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
